It has a lot of bugs.
The game is enjoyable and grindy, however there are numerous flaws, ranging from crashes to hang ups, and this is on a rather good phone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
Even if things have improved, every time a bug is solved, new one appears.
If you click on one of the nearby pokemons, it will not show you where pokestop it is located at and it will not leave a marker to direct you to it at this time.
There are also several quality of life features that are lacking, such as mega evolving in a raid lobby and others.
This game is just fantastic!
During a family vacation in 2016, my son insisted that I download the game so that we could play together. I’ve been playing ever since!
The renovations Niantic has made throughout the years have been incredible, especially after COVID-19 began and individuals were forced to stay in their homes.
It’s just pleasant and helps to keep me on the move!
Aside from the fact that it provides no support for folks who are unable to travel long distances and do not have any pokestops in their immediate vicinity, it is a good game.
As a result, I’ve run out of pokeballs and there are no pokestops in my immediate vicinity, forcing me to rely on daily prizes and presents, which don’t provide many pokeballs to begin with.
I believe that the game would be more enjoyable if there was a way to obtain pokeballs without having to visit a pokestop or travel a long distance.
It is a fantastic game, except for the fact that I seem to either have severally awful luck or the game just goes haywire every time I put money into it. I buy a hundred pokeballs and suddenly, regardless of berry use or how good a throw I make, pokemon just seem to break free more frequently, and I can drop lures and incense at the same time and still not get a single spawn from the seemingly appearing pokemon.
I’m a tremendous admirer of the Pokemon franchise, but I’m drawing a line in the sand and declaring that I’m finished with the franchise.
I enjoy the game, but because I am crippled and bedridden, it is quite difficult for me to progress.
Additionally, some screens are quite difficult to see for those of us who have vision difficulties.
Because of the limits of the game, I actually stopped playing for a number of years.
I really wish there was an option to walking to go to work.
There are a few things I would modify about the book.
We should be able to use our Pokemon during the capture process, just like we can when we are fighting, and we should have access to some sort of pokemon center where we can heal our Pokemon as well.
The game is starting to feel like a pay-to-win sort of game after some time has passed because getting revives and potions is nearly impossible to come by.
Now, the majority of my high-CP Pokemon have fainted or are down to half their health, and I am powerless to save them.
Some Pokemon appear to have a manipulated catch rate, whereas others do not.
I went on a raid and came across a perfect heatran, but I was unable to catch it despite throwing 5 amazing curve ball throws in a sequence, 10 superb curve ball throws in a row, and 15 golden razzberries in a row.
It was a waste of a distant pass and some golden razzberries to go this route.
As someone who has invested a significant amount of time and money in this game, I believe that the unachievable catch rates should be changed.
The game is quite enjoyable.
I, on the other hand, am unable to obtain a metal coat, no matter what I try.
It’s quite aggravating because I have something like 120 onix sweets and over 200 steelix mega energy, but I am unable to evolve my onix for some reason.
Because I cannot find any more Weedles, I am unable to evolve the Weedle, despite the fact that I have enough Beedrill mega energy on hand.
In general, this is a very decent game.
It is quite upsetting that I feel compelled to give this game such a low rating.
I’ve had a lot of good times while playing, but Niantic always manages to destroy some aspect of the game for me.
In addition, they make the game unnecessarily difficult to play (making it impossible for some players with impairments to participate), and they provide some of the WORST customer support I have ever experienced.
Raid passes can be purchased with real money, then lost due to a *known* flaw, and never recovered because the developers simply don’t care about you in any manner whatsoever.
Extremely money-hungry and sloppy on the field.
To increase your storage capacity, you’ll need coins, which you can either purchase with real money or earn by taking over poke towers.
There is a problem with this because you only obtain a maximum of 50 coins and your Pokemon can be stuck at the tower for days on end.
Also, you don’t have to talk to anyone in order to receive new pokemon, thus everything is completely random. If the Pokemon you want doesn’t turn up often, you can always pay money to enhance them.
It’s a pity that games can get away with so much by just stating that they are in beta for an infinite period of time.
With its ups and downs, this is a mediocre game at the very best.
With advertisements in the horizon, I’m deducting another star from the game because it will give me even another reason to avoid opening it as frequently.
